There were lots of these huge carpenter ants around.

After Ottawa we took a long drive west to the area north of Toronto which is covered in thousands of lakes. Much like how lots of beach in New Zealand have baches by the beach, a lot of Torontonians have lake houses.

We stayed in a rustic little house on a river right beside Lake Sparrow. We were here for a relaxing week. The house had kayaks and a canoe so we paddled up and down the river a few times. We also plenty of camp fires in the evenings.
